... and a 'Crafty What Nots' Review

Jenny from  Jennysis has previously written a fab guest post for us on how to make a Card Box so we were delighted when she asked us if we would review one of her Crafty What Nots subscription boxes! Here's a bit more about the selection of crafty things we received and what we made with the supplies.
*Disclosure - we received a free package for the purpose of this review. All opinions are our own.

Here's how Jenny describes Crafty What Nots:
‘Crafty What Nots’ is a brand new monthly surprise parcel that comes straight to your door! So do you like crafts and being creative or know someone who does? Do you like to try new things and discover new techniques? Have you reached a creative block and need something to kick start your crafty side? Then why not try ‘Crafty What Nots’? Each box contains a variety of different projects and so many possibilities. Each box comes with a range of craft supplies, inspirational ideas, instructions for a project and handmade free gift! Approximate value of each box is around £20. You can choose for your ‘Crafty What Nots’ boxes to be sent to yourself or as a gift for someone else. All you need to do is choose a subscription package below and wait for the post!

We were super excited when our Crafty What Nots parcel arrived through the post. It was well packaged and felt like a real treat opening it to find an abundance of lovely crafty goodies inside!
Our 'Floral Pavillion' parcel included:
  • Instructions and materials to create a paper handbag
  • Flower clear stamp and acrylic block
  • Ink pads and card blands
  • Embellishments, foam pads and papers
  • Buttons twine and ribbon
  • Notebook
  • Inspiration Sheet
Jenny also included one of her lovely Button Doodle Cards which added a nice personal touch.
We were spoilt for choice as to what to make, but started off with an Origami Box using contrasting card stock and some of the embellishments. It was really helpful to be able to follow the clear tutorial on Jenny's blog. These would make great gift boxes and we'll definitely be making more of these, especially in the run up to Christmas!
Next we tried our hand at making a Handbag Gift Box, following the instructions included in our package. Again the instructions were really clear and took us through the process step by step.
Finally we made a couple of cards using a combination of the card stock, embellishments and flower stamp. The butterflies on the small cards were creating using our own punch and backed with card. All the card and embellishments provided followed a theme, so it was fun to try experiment knowing that the colours already complimented each other!
We would definitely recommend signing up for a Crafty What Nots box for yourself or as a great gift for a crafty friend. We think that it would especially suit people who want to try something new, but don't know where to start, as your package will include a wide selection of materials as well as instructions and ideas for inspiration.
Thanks again Jenny for providing us with such a lovely selection of goodies to review. We've still got lots left to add to our 'stash' - so can't wait to use them in future projects! To order your Crafty What Nots box go to Jennysis website where discounts are available for either a 3 or 6 months supply. What are you waiting for!!
