We were delighted to be invited to the upcoming Handmade Fair which is being hosted by Kirstie Allsopp from 19th-21st September. Here's a bit more about how you can get involved too!
Taking place in the beautiful historic park of Hampton Court Palace, craft enthusiast Kirstie Allsopp has gathered the best experts to create a unique learning experience for those passionate about creating bespoke craft products. This fantastic day out will give every visitor the opportunity to try a hands on craft workshop, listen to the grand masters of handmade products in the demo theatre, enjoy great food in the palace gardens and buy beautiful products from the handpicked sellers.
#worldpomination
Kirstie has decided to go for a Guinness World Record at the event for the highest number of pompoms laid end to end. Kirstie makes a mean pompom but she can’t possibly do them all herself, so she is calling on the Great British public to help her achieve #worldpomination.Go over to the #worldpomination page to watch Kirstie's video and find out how to get involved. The idea is that everyone makes three or more pompoms and either takes them to their nearest Hobbycraft Store or to The Handmade Fair. We will be busy making some pompoms to take along with us and we'd love to hear from you if you're getting involved too!
#handmade100
This is a campaign to identify the most influential crafters on Twitter. All nominations will be collected by Kirstie Allsopp and the Handmade Fair team, with the final list decided based on content, engagement and influence.Nominations are now open for #Handmade100, so click here to find out how to make your nomination and see the latest scores!
So what are you waiting for... go and book your tickets here!! We'll be there on 19th September and we'd love to hear from you if you're planning to go along too.
Even if you can't make it along to the Fair, you can still get involved in #worldpomination and if you sign up to The Handmade Fair newsletter, you also receive a fab free pattern from Mollie Makes.
The Hampton Court Palace! We went there on our vacation! We loved the 150+ year old hedge maze and I remember the kitchen and a ballroom. I left my bag in the gardens. As we were leaving, at closing time, I remembered. Security didn't want me to go back through the palace, but once I explained they let me. On my way back to the gardens, another tourist was bringing my bag in from outside. I was so happy that an honest person found and returned it! It had all of our passports, money, plane tickets, everything in it! Good memories!
