... and DIY Bath Bombs

This is the week for guest posts! Today we have another great post from Kathleen Chambers who you may remember previously shared ideas for Homemade Bath Products

Today, Kathleen shares with us her tried and tested recipe for Homemade Bath Bombs!
Hello! I have put together a tutorial for bath bombs. I hope you like it! My ingredients include citric acid, baking soda, Epsom salt, essential oils, coconut oil and fragrance of your choice. Choose essential oils for what you are trying to treat such as dry skin, migraines, sore muscles, back pain, stress and anxiety

I have tried many recipes and by far this is the best or the one that has consistently work without cracking.

Dry ingredients:
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/2cup epsom salt
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
Start by mixing together all the dry ingredients.

Wet ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 tsp vegetable oil or oil of your choice ( grape seed, avocado, jojoba are great for your skin and works well making the bath bombs.
  • 1/2 tsp. borax Fragrance oil of choice or essential oils
  • Food coloring of your choice of colour

As you combine both wet and dry ingrediants use witch hazel in a bottle to spray while mixing.
Pack the mixture into a mould of your choice (for example a tennis ball cut in half)

Remove from the mould and leave to dry fully.
Then just relax and enjoy your homemade bath bomb!

Thanks Kathleen for another fab guest post. We will definitely be trying these for ourselves. They'd make great gifts as well!
