The inside of the basket is a bit 'scratchy' so to make a lining I cut two rectangles each of 50 x 40cm from my fabric (taken from old pyjamas!). As it will be the inside of the basket on view, I made a sort of inside out drawstring bag, by folding over and sewing the top to make a large hem (3 cm).
I then sewed the two pieces (right sides together) along the bottom and up either side. The top is designed to fold over the top of the basket, so I stopped sewing at the bottom of the hem. [My Pincushion Boat is being put to good use too!]
Also as an added bonus, you can take the lining out of the basket, turn it inside out it becomes a drawstring bag for on the move!Denim Knitting Bag as well!! What do you use to store your knitting supplies?
I love that it turns into a drawstring bag. That's really smart and I LOVE it!ReplyDelete
