We already had a couple of pieces of button jewellery, including this lovely handmade bracelet by our friend Lauren....
Plus this cute ring picked up during a visit to South Africa...
So armed with our ever increasing stash of buttons, here's what we created!!
Charm style bracelets, using a link chain (from a DIY store!) and fixing the buttons on with wire
Some earrings, made simply by gluing buttons onto stud backs....
A stacked button ring...
Buttons threaded onto ribbon to form a bracelet...
A cuff bracelet, made by glueing buttons onto an existing silver bracelet...
A keyring made by fixing two buttons together with wire...
A necklace made by attaching two different sized buttons to a chain (again from a DIY store!)...
As we don't normally make jewellery we haven't given instructions for what we did. There are loads of great projects out there in blogland with really detailed tutorials but some we particularly like are:
- Fashion Diva Design
- Hope Studios
- My Life on the Divide
- Pink Flamingo Studio
- Smitten Kitten
- Budi kreativan
