... and Viva España!

Over Easter we went for a lovely trip to Valladolid in Spain to visit my sister. We were there for a week and managed to fit in a bit of culture in between sampling the tapas and red wine!!
We flew into Madrid and spent two days there before heading off to Valladolid. It was the first time I'd been to either city and there were plenty of new and inspiring things to see. Here are just a few....

Vivid flowers, stunning tulips and interesting shapes of trees and leaves at the Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid
There are so many museums in Madrid, but we didn't have a lot of time, so spent our time in Museo Reina Sofia. There were some great exhibitions, including Picasso's Guernica and a collection by Dali.
We spent most of our time in Valladolid and I became 'mildly' obsessed with the colours and architecture of the lovely Spanish buildings!

It was Semana Santa (Holy Week), so we saw a great selection of processions from the cathedral and churches. Each procession has it's own band so the streets are filled with the colours and sounds!
And of course, it would have been rude not to sample the wide selection of tapas, wine, beer, gin..... Does that count as inspiration?!
I had a fantastic trip and can't wait to visit again! I collected some bits and pieces like tickets, maps, postcards etc and would like to scrapbook them somehow. I've not done scrapbooking before, so would love to hear any tips and hints please! How do you capture and record memories and mementos from your holidays?
