... and Fabric Scrap Weaving

A few weeks ago, we had a fun 'crafternoon' trying out different techniques from a fab book called Fabric Leftovers by D'Arcy-Jean Milne. Here's how we got on with weaving fabric scraps!

Hello! Here's a quick project that I have adapted from Jennibellie at Jennibellie Studio. Hers is a recycled folder / book to store Washi Tape, mine is to store bits of ribbons and trimmings in. You can see the full Video tutorial here.

Tips, Tools & Techniques - Ribbon Weaving

Hello! Here's our regular feature where we share tips, tools & techniques that have caught our eye, things we have Pinned, and things we have tried. These are probably not going to change your life(!) but might make it a bit easier or more fun!
I did this a while ago for our last Textile ATC swap, but thought I would go into more detail and share with you how I made the woven embellishment.

... and a Denim Storage Basket

I am a sucker for a storage basket or tin, even if it's just so that I can kid myself that I'm being organised!! So I decided to make another - this time upcycled from the leg of a pair of jeans!

... and a Felt Needle Case

... and a couple of Lamp Revamps!

Hello! Today we have a very quick and easy project, but VERY effective. Revamping Lamps!
You know how we all have lamps that we have a) had for so long they are in need of some loving, b) bought because they were cheap and could have upcycling potential or c) inherited when merging property with not so tasteful boyfriends?!! My lamps are both from the c) category although to be fair to Dunc, they were just a bit boring rather than ugly and horrendous!

... and "Mini Book" Bookmarks

Do you love to read as much as we do? I have had this project in the pipeline for a while now but have only just got round to giving it a go - once I started I became hooked and instead of making one, I made five!!!
I first got the idea from this post by Small World Land. Corinne had made them for a dolls house for her daughter and jewellery for her mother. I first thought of pendants for necklaces but I wasn't sure if people would wear them? But then I saw some other posts on bead and ribbon bookmarks and I was inspired!
