Tips, Tools & Techniques - Using Your Kids' Artwork

Hello! Here's our regular feature where we share tips, tools & techniques that have caught our eye, things we have Pinned, and things we have tried. These are probably not going to change your life(!) but might make it a bit easier...
If like me, you have a TON of artwork lovingly created by your children, why not come up with some inventive ways of using it? This is a "painting" by Mally. Hmmmm. There's not much to do with it as it is, but the colour mixes are very pretty, and he was only 3 when he did it...!
It was Aunty Megan's birthday so we decided to do a joint card from all of us. Firstly, we found some matching buttons and card.
We cut out shapes (these are flowers by the way!!) and planned the composition.
We did the inside greeting using dry transfer letters
I stitched the buttons on, and stitched the pieces of card togther using a running stitch
And Mally felt like his work was a big part of the card (which of course it was!)
Do you have any tips for using up your Kids' artwork?

  1. I have been looking for a mother's day craft all the grand kids can do and I think this is it! They all can paint and the older ones can sew too. Thanks!
