This post is not a particularly 'crafty' one, but it certainly is a project that's been on my to do list for a while! So I thought I'd share how I organised by laundry cupboard, as an incentive for actually getting on with it!

... and a Drawstring Peg Bag
I have been procrastinating about making a peg bag for ages. I knew I wanted to make one myself, but had very specific requirements in my head... not made with a hanger, easy to take on/off the washing line, something that I could stick in the washing machine... decisions, decisions!!
So when I saw this fab tutorial by Diary of a Quilter, it was exactly what I needed to spur me into action and finally make this Drawstring Peg Beg!

... and a Recycled "Trimmings" Folder
Hello! Here's a quick project that I have adapted from Jennibellie at Jennibellie Studio. Hers is a recycled folder / book to store Washi Tape, mine is to store bits of ribbons and trimmings in. You can see the full Video tutorial here.

... and more Cupboard Organisation
Its that time of year again where everyone is Spring Cleaning! There are posts all over the linky parties at the moment - so here's another! After the success of Sian's Kitchen Cupboard Makeover last year, I decided to finally tackle our laundry / airing cupboard.

... and a DIY Scarf Hanger
I hadn't realised until a recent sort out quite how many scarves I had! Some of these have moved their way into my fabric stash and others to the charity shop... but the others still needed somewhere to live so I made a scarf hanger!

... and a Wood Pencil Pot
For Christmas I decided that I would try and make some little homemade presents for family, but as with most ideas I have, I did end up leaving a lot to the last minute! One of the quicker projects was a wooden pencil pot for my Dad, which was designed to match with the Wood Coasters I made for his birthday.

... and a Paint Swatch Mini Notebook
I'm a big fan of making lists and have to write things down before I forget them. Trouble is this often means scribbling things on the back of an envelope.... then losing the envelope! So I decided to make some mini notebooks in an attempt to keep my lists in one place!

... and a Knitting Basket Makeover!
I found a great basket during one of my many occasional charity shop visits and have been using it to store my knitting supplies! Although it's very functional, it's not that pretty... so time for a makeover!

... and an Embroidered Pencil Pot
I have been obsessed with all the posts on Pinterest where people have used embroidery and cross stitch on every day objects... And I finally got round to doing one of my own! This could be a great back to school project to organise a homework station, but we don't have to deal with any of that...yet!

... and a Denim Storage Basket
I am a sucker for a storage basket or tin, even if it's just so that I can kid myself that I'm being organised!! So I decided to make another - this time upcycled from the leg of a pair of jeans!

Tips, Tools & Techniques - Organising Your Paper Stash
Hello! Here's our monthly feature. We hope to share tips, tool & techniques that have caught our eye, things we have Pinned, and things we have tried. These are probably not going to change your life(!) but might make it a bit easier...
How to Organise your Paper Stash:
If like me you have a variety of paper and card that you have acquired through the years, it can get a bit difficult to sort through it to find what you want (especially if you save every scrap of tissue paper, card from packages etc, and its not even all in one place!!). Here's one solution - an A3 Display Book!

... and some Pretty Pins
We've been making lots of gifts lately - so this post is a bit of a change from that! I have been working in my craft room and realised I needed more coordinated items (actually we're meant to be starting on our Christmas stock to sell and I'm procrastinating!!!) So here are a selection of different types of Pretty Pins!

... and a Pincushion Boat (with Trawler Net Thread Catcher!)
Ahoy there! Today's post has a nautical theme.... with a boat pin cushion and thread catcher.
If there was a prize for messiest sewer, I'd definitely be in the running. Despite my best efforts, I always end up with threads all over the floor and pins stuck randomly in cushions, jeans etc. So whilst sorting out my new craft room(!) making a pin cushion and thread catcher seemed like a sensible idea!

... and a Record Stand
As a self confessed hoarder I can never resist picking up things 'just incase' and during a visit to a local car boot sale last year, I decided that I just had to have some old vinyl records!! When I found them again recently (gathering dust carefully stored away), I thought it was about time I put them to good use and decided to turn them into a record stand!
I had originally planned to keep the records flat, but then I saw this great post by A Law Students Journey and changed my mind! If you fancy making your own, here's what you'll need....

... and a Kitchen Cupboard Spring Clean with a Crafty Twist!
Last weekend I had planned to do some spring cleaning... but then it snowed!! As it wasn't really the weather for hanging out washing and cleaning windows, I braced myself and decided to tackle the kitchen cupboard instead, which has been on my 'to do' list for a while!
In our kitchen we have a cupboard, which I guess you could call a larder/pantry (although that makes it sound a lot bigger than it is!). It has a tendency to become a bit of a dumping ground and I forgot to take any 'before' photos, but trust me...it was definitely in need of a good sort out!

... and an "Attempt" at a Craft Room
One of my favourite things to look at on Pinterest is other people's craft rooms. I live in a constant state of admiration and envy. I thought if I planned to do a post on mine, it would encourage me to sort out my stuff and have a general tidy up. It is now my favourite room in our house (of course!!)
