... and an Upcycled Boot Planter

When Matt said he was thinking of getting some new work boots, I immediately started thinking about what I could do with the old ones! I managed to grab them before they ended up in the bin.... to use as a plant pot of course!

DIY Bug House

While doing a bit of Bank Holiday gardening, I found this bug house that I'd made last year and decided to get it back out into the garden. It had been hidden in a dark, damp corner - but I don't suppose the creepy crawlies minded!

... and Viva España!

Over Easter we went for a lovely trip to Valladolid in Spain to visit my sister. We were there for a week and managed to fit in a bit of culture in between sampling the tapas and red wine!!

Tips, Tools & Techniques - Homemade Bird Seed Feeders

Hello! Here's our regular feature where we share tips, tools & techniques that have caught our eye, things we have Pinned, and things we have tried. These are probably not going to change your life(!) but might make it a bit easier...

... and a Conker Pot Stand

The best thing about Autumn is going on a nature hunt! Mally and I went out the other day and had a great time crunching in the leaves, picking up acorns, fir cones and most of all CONKERS! There are tons of horse chestnut trees around here and we soon had a whole bag full. Now, what to do with them?!  Back at home, laying them out on the dining table an idea hit - how about a nice centrepiece bowl. As you can tell, that's not what I ended up with!

...and Inspiration from Nature (with a Wigglegram Tutorial!)

This weekend we were both away in the Cotswolds for our Experimenting with Embroidery and Mixed Media course (more on what we created coming soon!!). In preparation for this course, we were asked to bring along a range of images to use as inspiration for the pieces we would be making. This was a residential at Farncombe Estate which had beautiful grounds and scenery, so it was a great opportunity to get the camera out!
