Here's a bit more about the selection of crafty things we received and what we made with the supplies.
*Disclosure - we received a free package for the purpose of this review. All opinions are our own.

.... and 7 Ways to Decorate for Autumn & Winter

Today we have something different - a guest post from Jessica at 4 Interior Design, with tips on how to decorate your house ready for the Autumn and Winter months...
.................................
Hi! I am Jessica Christian and a total freak when it comes to home decor. Decorating and making the world a wonderful place is what I crave. You can find me at 4 Interior Design

7 Ways to Get 'Ready for Autumn & Winter' Decor
As Autumn deepens and Winter draws ever closer it is time to think about 'battening down the hatches'. Windows and vents are closed, curtains are drawn and the cold, grey and miserable weather is left outside. But how best can we make the best of our décor to see us through the chill and dark? These seven tips and hints should see you through to the spring when we can once again open the curtains and windows to let light and sunshine flood in.
1. Warm it up
Add warmth to your rooms by adding rich fabrics and colours. Now is the time to emphasise solid dark furniture, heavy velvets and any feature that serves to create a barrier between the home and the outside world.

... and the Yellow Suitcase Exhibition

The Yellow Suitcase project has been founded by a group of people who live, survive and are in recovery from mental health issues. The idea of the project is to get people talking about mental health by taking the yellow suitcase to places of work, community groups and organisations around Reading (UK). More often than not one of the most difficult things about having a mental health problem is talking about it, in fear of stigma and discrimination in the workplace.
You can read more about this project on the Yellow Suitcase Project website. "We all have a common dream and shared hope that people suffering with mental health issues, have the right information, help and support, they need to make the most informed decisions about managing their mental health".

... and Using Local Letters!

This is a bit of a different post from us today. We thought we’d try and play around with some photography and see how we could use it in a project. Recently we saw these Typography safaris on offer in London and although we haven’t been able to book onto it for time (and life!) reasons, we wondered if we could do something similar and use some of the letters in our local area.  Of course we are NOT trying to imply that this is a substitute!

...and Inspiration from Nature (with a Wigglegram Tutorial!)

This weekend we were both away in the Cotswolds for our Experimenting with Embroidery and Mixed Media course (more on what we created coming soon!!). In preparation for this course, we were asked to bring along a range of images to use as inspiration for the pieces we would be making. This was a residential at Farncombe Estate which had beautiful grounds and scenery, so it was a great opportunity to get the camera out!
